Donations Needed for After Prom Party

Dear Conifer High School Parents:

Planning for the After Prom Luau Party is in full swing. We have tiki statues being created by the art department and plans for some great food and fun. This leads our volunteer committee to the inevitable:  a request for funding. We realize there is never a good time to request a donation, however, after weeks of fact-finding and planning, we must ask you for help. We need your financial support to provide a safe and substance-free supervised After Prom for our students.

It is common knowledge that far too often Prom night includes illegal alcohol consumption, drunk or impaired driving, promiscuous activities or other behavior that is inappropriate or dangerous. This PTSA sponsored event gives your kids something SAFE to participate in after the Prom. 

The After Prom party is going to be held at Conifer High School on April 9th from 11:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.. The theme is a luau with limbo, laser tag, tricycle races, bungee run, movies, games, prizes, food and lots more. The after prom is open to Conifer Junior and Senior students and their dates. Students do not have to go to prom to come to the After Prom party but all students must turn in a parent waiver to the prom ticket table to attend the after prom party. Any guests from other schools must complete additional forms and get principal approval.

Believe it or not, in order to have a successful event like this for 300-400 teens we need to raise $8-10,000. We are asking for financial contributions and/or prizes that can be used for drawings throughout the night.

Here are some ideas as to how you can contribute:

Sponsor an activity:

• Caricature artist: $300.00 
• Tattoo Airbrushing: $200.00
• Chair Massage Therapist: $100.00

Obviously, anything you can do will help and if you choose to make a financial contribution it is tax deductible and you can send it to:

As with every major event we will also need many volunteers so sign up now by emailing us at Conifer High PTSA . We need volunteers to run the tricycle races, time the laser tag groups, man the doors, coat check, prize give aways, food table restocking, uploading photos to the computer for projection during the event, making coffee beverages, manning the obstacle course.

Thank you for caring about our teens and for your generous donation. Please help us to make this the best After Prom ever!! Remember! The After Prom party is at no cost to the students and is not a school-funded event. It is up to you and all of us to make this great event happen.
